It’s A Neighborhood Show

DATE: 07/25/2009 08:44:14 PM

summertime.

A time for friends, fun, sunshine, water, music.  What do you get when you put it all together?  A neighborhood show.  The kids from our subdivision decided to have a talent show for the parents.  They practiced for sevearl hours.  Then, they went door-to-door to ask neighbors to come watch them.

Many parents showed up- some with cameras, some with camcorders.  The kids performed on a trailer they had decorated with umbrellas.  The music began and we were treated to songs by Taylor Swift.  The kids sang and danced their little hearts out.

It was great because they came up with the idea on their own, practiced, invited everyone, then pulled off a great show.  I, along with the other parents, were very very proud.  It was a great way to spend a July afternoon.
